Jessie Rae Royal
Jessie was a stallion Melissa's parents purchased from Greg and Ellen Frick of Sabre Quarter Horse Ranch in Whitewood, SK. Jessie sired only 3 crops of colts, but his offspring are some of the best horses we have ever owned and raised. He was an NCHA money earner, and Broden used him as a practice calf horse before we happily retired him to the best life with a young man who will undoubtedly learn so much from him as they grow older together!
Mic, as we called him, was the first stallion purchased by Darrell and Rhonda when they began their horse breeding program. He was a beautiful dark bay stud, and was a product of a large horse operation from near Killdeer, ND, owned by the Klatt family. He produced great colts with beautiful heads, cute ears, plenty of bone and great dispositions. We raised numerous crops of his colts, and most of our broodmares are products of those early crosses with him.
Willow is our oldest and was one of our best broodmares. She's Doc Bar bred and has produced great colts that have been everything from performance rope horses to excellent broodmares. Willow had a stunning chestnut stud colt by Alabama Snap in 2016, which will be her last. As much as we'd love to keep breeding her, it's time for her to step away from the broodmare band, and to let her legacy live on through her daughter and granddaughter that will be raising foals for us in the future.
